Standard vs Genuine Apple Screens: FlipFix Guide
When you replace your iPhone screen, you can choose between Standard (LCD) and Premium (Soft OLED, Non-Apple).
Standard (LCD Display)
Brightness: ~600–700 nits (lower than OEM OLED)
Color Accuracy: Good, but slightly cooler tones vs. factory OLED
True Tone: Not Available.
Bezel Glass Thickness: ~1.7 mm (slightly thicker than OEM)
Touch Latency: ~8–10 ms (barely noticeable difference)
Durability: Tempered aftermarket glass; solid but not as flexible as
Premium (Soft OLED)
Non-Apple Soft OLED panel (same OLED technology as Apple)
Brightness: ~800–900 nits (no HDR)
Color Accuracy: Slightly boosted saturation, Delta-E ~4–5 (less accurate than OEM)
True Tone: Often not available (depends on pairing)
Bezel Glass Thickness: ~1.8–2.0 mm
Touch Latency: ~8–9 ms
Durability: usually ~10–20% less durable
Will show “Unable to Verify Display” message
Which Should You Choose?
Standard (LC): Best for the wallet. If you care about all the functions for the best price.
Premium (Soft OLED): Best if you want the same OLED technology Apple uses, but at a lower cost, with small trade-offs like lower brightness and no guaranteed True Tone.
When you replace your iPhone screen, you can choose between Genuine Apple (Refurbished OEM) and Standard (Soft OLED, Non-Apple).
Genuine Apple (Refurbished OEM)
Uses original Apple OLED panels with refurbished glass
Same brightness: (around 1,000 nits, HDR up to 1,200)
True Tone: Always works
Bezel Thickness: ~1.5 mm (same as factory)
Touch Response: ~7 ms
Durability: Same as original Apple glass
Message: Will show “Unable to Verify Display” — this is normal, as the iPhone is digitally paired to its original screen.
Standard (Soft OLED, Non-Apple)
Made with non-Apple OLED parts, same screen tech
Slightly lower brightness (around 800–900 nits, no HDR)
True Tone: May not work
Bezel Thickness: ~1.8–2.0 mm
Touch Response: ~8–9 ms
Durability: ~10–20% less than OEM glass
Message: Will show “Unable to Verify Display” — this is expected since the screen is not made by Apple and isn’t paired to the device.
Which Should You Choose?
Genuine Apple (Refurb OEM): Best if you want factory-level brightness, color accuracy, and True Tone with no compromises.
Standard (Soft OLED): Best if you want the same OLED technology Apple uses, but at a lower cost, with small trade-offs like lower brightness and no guaranteed True Tone.

FlipFix Battery Guide
Nothing’s worse than your phone dying halfway through class or while you’re out with friends. That’s why we only use batteries that we’d trust in our own phones
Always brand new
No recycled or sketchy batteries. Every battery starts at 0 cycles (completely fresh).More power than Apple’s stock
For example, an iPhone 11 battery from Apple is 3,110 mAh. Ours is around 3,200–3,300 mAh. That’s good for about 18+ hours of screen use (around an hour more than stock).Quick turnaround
You don’t need to ship your phone off. We usually finish installs in under an hour — so you can grab coffee and come back to a phone that actually holds charge.About that warning…
After the swap, your iPhone may show a “Unable to verify battery” message. That’s just Apple being Apple — the battery works 100% fine, and performance isn’t affected at all.
